ACADEMY SIDE
ROB BETTANY (24)- CAPTAIN
The man from the Ruabon started his career as an apprentice with powerhouses Eastbourne. He spend four seasons on the south coast before flitting around for the last five years between clubs. He has returned to his homeland to hopefully find so form at academy level.
NICK MILES (23)
Miles arrived in South Wales having been part of the deal that sent Lars Elmander to Canvey. He got is averaage in the academy league back close to the levels they were in SL19 for Devon Demons and wihout the extra responsibility of the captaincy, will hope to push on further.
TONY WALL (22)
Former Eastbourne apprentice Wall has taken huge strides since arriving in South Wales, putting over four points on his academy average in the last two years and even getting some senior experience in SL22.
MATTHEW REDFERN (24)
A former Leeds Jaguars apprentice, Redfern is the oldest rider in our Academy squad. Having been with the Margate Admirals, he then spent the best part of three years out of the sport before deciding to put the kevlars back on for us last year.
GRAHAM SIMMONS (20)
Simmons is someone who has struggled to convert being quick in practice into performances in competitive racing. The young Bristolian still has time on his side however.
TERRY COOPER (16)
The Maindee youngster struggled as an apprentice last year, averaging just 2.28, but is hoping to be better for that experience this campaign.
GRAHAM EVANS (21)
Huddesfield-born Evans, whose father hails from Merthyr, started at Leeds before spending his later teenage years out of the sport. He returned with Verwood last year and has now moved back to his fathers homeland, committing to the national team as well.
