Almost £200,000 worth of improvements to be finished before the season starts.
Promoter Steve Moore has announced a raft of plans to complete the initial upgrades of Spytty Stadium ready for the Exiles opening competitive fixture against Glenholt Knights.
These improvements include extending the stand down the entirety of the back straight which will increase the capacity of that stand by 1,000. Meanwhile, 500 seats are being added to the home straight, increasing the capacity by another 200. This will therefore take the capacity of Spytty Stadium up to 4,000 (1,000 of which are seats).
As well as increasing the capacity, there are several other improvements to be made, with the drinks kiosk being further extended and the addition of a brand new bar.
Being quoted in the South Wales Argus while out in Austria, Moore has enthused about these plans, saying:
"This is what we talk about when we talk about being a great supporter experience. We already have a large snack and drinks kiosk, which we are extending further. Top-draw disabled facilities, a fantastic track shop and one of the most inclusive supporters clubs in the country without even having ridden a competitive fixture yet."
One of the most expensive additions will also be the one that the riders will be most happy with as the Exiles will be spending £50,000 on a brand new Air-fence.
This news came much to the delight of captain Ben Tullett:
"This shows just how much (Steve) cares for us as riders. He has given us good pit facilities and now the safety of an air-fence. Not only does it make it a comfortable environment to work in but having an air-fence gives both ourselves and opposition riders the freedom to really attack on the racetrack, which will only be good for spectators."
Exiles management can also confirm that despite the large scale outlay in stadium improvements, tickets will not rise from the price structure that was announced in pre-season for the entirety of SL21.
